Membership overview
The Secret Book Co. is a curated monthly book subscription. Each membership includes one curated book and accompanying monthly elements designed to enhance the reading experience.
Boxes are prepared and assembled in small batches. Membership availability and additional offerings may change as The Secret Book Co. grows.
Membership Pricing
Membership is $39.99 per month. This price includes:
- One curated book
- Monthly element inclusions
- Packaging and preparation
- Shipping within the contiguous United States
Sales tax is calculated separately based on the delivery address where applicable.
billing cycle
Memberships are billed automatically on a recurring monthly basis using the payment method provided at checkout.
Your membership subscription will continue renewing until it is canceled.
renewal date
Subscriptions renew on the 7th of each month.
monthly cutoff date
Each monthly shipment follows a cutoff date.
Orders placed before the cutoff date will be included in the upcoming shipment.
Orders placed after the cutoff date will be included in the following month’s shipment.
cancelations
Subscribers may cancel their membership at any time through their account portal.
To avoid being charged for the next shipment, cancelations must be completed before the monthly cutoff date.
If a cancelation occurs after the cutoff date, the cancelation will take effect after the next box ships.
Once a monthly charge has been processed, that month’s shipment is considered final and cannot be canceled.
failed payments
If a payment attempt fails, we may attempt to process the payment again. If payment cannot be completed, the subscription may be paused or canceled.
changes to orders
Address updates, membership cancelations, or plan changes must be completed before the monthly cutoff date to affect the upcoming shipment.
Changes made after the cutoff will apply to the following month’s shipment.
refunds and returns
All subscription purchases are final once processed.
Because each box is prepared in small batches and assembled by hand, boxes and individual items are not eligible for return or refund.
shipping schedule
Subscription boxes ship once per month. Orders placed before the monthly cutoff date will ship in the upcoming shipment cycle.
Orders placed after the cutoff will ship with the following month’s shipment.
Once your box ships, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information.
shipping timeframes
Delivery times vary depending on location and shipping carrier.
Typical delivery within the United States is 3-7 business days, though delays may occur that are outside our control.
The Secret Book Co. is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, weather conditions, holidays, or other logistical disruptions.
address accuracy
Subscribers are responsible for ensuring their shipping address is accurate before the monthly cutoff date.
Address changes made after the cutoff may not apply to the current shipment.
Boxes returned due to an incorrect or incomplete address may require an additional shipping fee to be resent.
lost or damaged packages
If a package arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days of delivery and include photos of the box and contents.
If tracking shows a package as delivered but you cannot locate it, please contact the shipping carrier first.
We will assist when possible but cannot guarantee replacement of packages marked as delivered.
The Secret Book Co. is not responsible for lost or stolen packages once delivery has been confirmed by the carrier.
